Cyber Security Training

This seminar on Security Awareness will introduce the trainee to the basic rules, laws and dangers of the Cyber World while focusing on the Information Age, Setting the ground rules (including the differences btw awareness and training as per NIST), Data & Information and Current Technological Environments/Threat Landscape, the Cybersecurity Governance and the Security Governance Principles, Attackers (including types, motivations, etc.) and Risk (what is risk, how it relates with information security, how to measure it - simplified). A brief description will follow on Security Architectures (Defense in Depth, Zero-trust), Anatomy of an Attack, Defense measures, Cybersecurity in the Maritime Environment and on Hacking ships methods and security measures.

This seminar, which complements the previous on Cyber Awareness, is providing the trainee with a deeper knowledge on Security Management System (ISMS), Asset Security, Physical Security, Personnel Security, Access Management, Security Assessments and Testing, Security Operations, Disasters caused by Cyber incidents, Compliance and Maritime Cyber risk. Finally, it will explore further the problem of Hacking ships methods and the appropriate security measures.
