Who We Are
D6 was established with the cumulative experience of its senior management, all of whom have accomplished backgrounds – collectively having decades of experience in the elite ranks of the Hellenic Navy, US Navy SEAL Teams, Special Forces, counter-intelligence, as well as in the security and maritime sectors of the US government.
Gratuated from the Hellenic Naval Academy / Anti-Submarine Warfare College USA / Hellenic Naval War College / NATO Defense College.
Rear-Admiral Papaioannou served in the Hellenic Navy for 35 years, most of which he spent commanding warships and NATO Units.
He was assigned as the First Force Commander of European Union Naval Force Operation Atalanta (EU NAVFOR ATALANTA) for anti-piracy in the Gulf of Aden / Indian Ocean.
He served in Brussels ( European Union Military staff) as well as in London, as Naval and Defense Attaché. His last assignment was as Director Chief in the Resources and Personnel Directorate of the Hellenic MOD.
Joseph L. Allen, J.D., M.P.H., is one of the founders of D6 and a member of its executive leadership team.
Mr. Allen holds educational degrees from Tulane University, B.S. Geology; San Diego State University, Master of Public Health; Suffolk University School of Law, J.D., Magna Cum Laude, and a member of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Allen is also the CEO of Six Maritime Inc., the largest and most trusted maritime security firm in the United States.
Immediately prior to founding Six Maritime, Mr. Allen served as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Diego, in the civil special litigation and criminal division trial units and served as the Military Liaison Deputy for the City of San Diego.
Mr. Allen also served honorably as an Officer in the United States Navy for over 14 years and had numerous leadership assignments including: gunnery officer, surface ship navigation officer, mobile combat communications officer and explosive ordnance disposal diving officer.
Graduated from the Hellenic Naval Academy / Strategy Operations – Hellenic Naval War College / USN Navy Seals and SOF Schools / NATO Operations.
Cpt. Lazaridis served in the Hellenic Navy for 28 years, most of which he spent commanding Special Forces Units, as well as Fast Attack Craft Squadrons.
He served as the Commanding Officer of the Hellenic Navy Seals , including during the 2004 – Athens Olympic Games.
His last position was in the Military Counterintelligence of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff
Paul A. Robinson, is one of the founders of the Company and currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer.
His positions held in the last five years are as follows: Research and Development Acquisitions Department, Undersea Naval Special Warfare Group 3, Chief of Operations and Training Undersea and Maritime with 165 subordinate operators, SEAL Team Chief of Operations coordinating six 16-man forward deployed teams.
A sample of his operational education includes: Risk Management Coordinator (2011), Risk Management Integration Leader (2011), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (2005), Marine Mammal Systems Operator (2002), Certified Master Training Specialist (1999), High Risk Instructor (1999), Tasked Based Curriculum Developer (1999), Drop Zone Safety Officer (1995), Special Warfare Sniper (1992); Range Safety Officer (1990); Stinger Missile Operator (1989), Long Range Maritime Navigation (1989), Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL Training, BUD/S (1987), numerous other training courses and positions held from his extensive experience as a Naval Special Warfare/SEAL operator for 25 years are available upon request. Mr. Robinson holds an active top secret security clearance with the U.S. Government.

Diaplous background
Diaplous Group began as a private maritime security company in 2010, providing security services to the owners and operators of vessels in high-risk areas such as the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Guinea.
Diaplous has since grown into a global leader in maritime risk management, having pioneered and achieved some of the industry’s greatest milestones and missions.

Six Maritime is a logistically simple, technologically advanced maritime security company that serves clients with consummate professionalism.
